Defense lawyer tells jury client lied in Tupac murder book
The short AP clip shows an interview with defense attorney Michael Sanft on the first day of Duane 'Keffe D' Davis's trial for the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur. Sanft admits telling the jury his client lied in the 2019 book 'Compton Street Legend' and discusses the challenge of persuading jurors which statements to believe. Prosecutors plan to use the book's incriminating passages while the defense highlights exaggerations made for sales.
